       four feet ten inches high having a scar on the
       left arm a little below the elbow and another
       on the right arm just above the elbow who was
       raised by Shadrack Turner late of the county
       aforesaid Deceased is a freeman and became
       entitled to his freedom in virtue of a Deed of
       Manumission from Sarah Turner Samuel Turner
       and John Turner dated the sixth day of November
       Seventeen Hundred and ninety nine and duly
       acknowledged and recorded in the records of
       the county court of the county aforesaid

                   Given under my hand and seal of office
                   this fourth day of January Eighteen
                   Hundred and twelve

       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro
       Cyrus who calls himself Cyrus Webster who was
       raised in Montgomery County in the family of
       Richard Thomas Deceased of a dark complexion
       about forty years of age five feet and an half
       inches high having a large wide mouth broad
       nose and strong made with a large scar on the
       calf of his left leg which appears to have been
       occasioned by a cut or burn is a freeman and
       obtained his freedom in virtue of a Deed of
       Manumission from Elizabeth Thomas bearing
       date the thirteenth day of April Eighteen
