       Clerks Office of Prince Georges ^County^ for Record

       Certificate granted 28.th May 1826


       Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

                   I hereby certify that negro Francis who calls
       himself Francis Contee the bearer hereof a black man
       about twenty three years of age five feet seven Inches
       high with a scar on the corner of the right eye also a scar
       on the upper part of the calf of the right leg ^occasioned by the bite of a Dog^ that the
       said Francis Contee is a free man & was set free by
       Hezekiah Wheeler by manumission duly acknowledged
       & recorded in my office the 25.th day of July 1805
