       Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

                   I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Charles
       Jackson a very dark mulatto man about Sixty four
       years of age five feet four and one quarter Inches
       high has a large scar over the right Eye which seems
       to have been occasioned by a cut that the said Charles
       Jackson is a free man and obtained his freedom by
       Petition to the County Court of the County aforesaid
       at September Term seventeen Hundred & Eighty five

        I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro James
        Lansdale a very dark mulatto Man about twenty five
       years of age five Eight and three quarter Inches high
       has a large scar on the left side of his head a little
       above his ear a scar in the Middle of his forehead and a
       a knot on the left ^right^ side of his forehead that the said James
       is a free man being the reputed son of Negro Jenny a free
       woman of Colour         In Testimony whereof &c
