OF ANNAPOLIS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as Art. 41,
§ 139.

In the introductory language of this section, the
words "the mayor and aldermen" are substituted for the
former, obsolete reference to "the mayor, counselor
and aldermen".

In item (1) of this section, the word "refuse" is
substituted for the former words "garbage, ashes, and
trash", for clarity and brevity.

The only other changes are in style.

SUBTITLE 7. STATE BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW.

4-701. "BOARD" DEFINED.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, "BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to avoid
repetition of the full title "State Board of
Architectural Review".

4-702. BOARD ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A STATE BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW IN THE
DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
the first sentence of former Art. 78A, § 23.

It is set forth as a separate section for emphasis.

4-703. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

(1)  THE BOARD CONSISTS OF 7 MEMBERS.

(2)  THE SECRETARY SHALL APPOINT THE MEMBERS FROM A
LIST OF NAMES SUBMITTED BY THE BALTIMORE, CHESAPEAKE BAY, AND
POTOMAC VALLEY CHAPTERS OF THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS.
THERE SHALL BE AT LEAST 5 NAMES ON THE LIST SUBMITTED BY EACH
CHAPTER.
