2-511. SHORT TITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND FACILITIES FOR
THE HANDICAPPED ACT".

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first sentence of
former Art. 78A, § 51(a).

SUBTITLE 6. SECURITIES.

2-601. TRANSMISSION TO TREASURER.

EACH OFFICER AND UNIT OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT SHALL SEND TO
THE TREASURER, FOR INVENTORY AND SAFEKEEPING, EACH CERTIFICATE OF
STOCK OR OTHER SECURITY CERTIFICATE THAT THE OFFICER OR UNIT
HOLDS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the third sentence of
former Art. 95, § 20.

The references to an "officer" are added, since, in
light of the purpose of this section, there seemed to
be no intent to exclude certificates held by an
officer.

2-602. STORAGE OF SECURITIES.

(A)  DEPOSIT WITH SAFE DEPOSIT COMPANY.

THE TREASURER SHALL DEPOSIT WITH A SAFE DEPOSIT COMPANY:

(1)  ALL OF THE SECURITIES THAT THE STATE OWNS; AND

(2)  ALL OF THE SECURITIES THAT, BY STATE LAW, THE
TREASURER HOLDS, IN TRUST OR OTHERWISE, FOR A CORPORATION OR
INDIVIDUAL.

(B)  SELECTION OF COMPANY.

(1)  WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC. WORKS,
THE TREASURER SHALL CHOOSE THE SAFE DEPOSIT COMPANY.

(2)  THE COMPANY SHALL BE LOCATED IN BALTIMORE CITY.

(C)  KEYS FOR VAULT OR BOX.
