Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1411.
This bill legalizes the 1984 Edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Dorchester County.
Senate Bill 525, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 21, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1411.

AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Legalizing Code of Public Local Laws
FOR the purpose of legalizing the 1984 Edition of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Dorchester County, being Article 10 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, published under
the direction of the Board of County Commissioners of
Dorchester County; and making provision for the publication,
sale, and distribution of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Dorchester County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the 1984 Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Dorchester County, being Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, published under the direction of the
Board of County Commissioners of Dorchester County, is legalized.
The Code shall contain all public local laws relating to
Dorchester County following the 1985 regular session of the
General Assembly of Maryland. The Code shall be deemed and taken
in all the courts of the State and by all public officials of the
State and of its several political subdivisions, to be evidence
of the public local laws of Dorchester County in existence at the
time of compilation.
