The Honorable Melvin A. Steinberg
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 433.
This bill provides circumstances under which a final
judgment of a circuit court on appeal from an administrative
decision under the Maryland Vehicle Law would be certified to the
Court of Appeals for review and determination.
House Bill 824, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 21, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 433.
Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor
Senate Bill No. 433
AN ACT concerning
Motor Maryland Vehicle Law - Judicial Review
FOR the purpose of requiring, under certain circumstances, the
certification of decisions to the Court of Appeals in
certain cases where circuit courts render final judgments on
appeal from administrative decisions under the Motor
Maryland Vehicle Law.
