A Senate Joint Resolution concerning

Governor's Task Force to Study the Funding of
Commission on Excellence in Higher Education

FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to expand a certain
task force to examine the funding of public institutions of
higher education in the State from historical, current, and
future perspectives; providing for additional membership of
the task force; providing for a report by a certain date;
and generally relating to the expansion of a certain task
force to study the funding of public institutions of higher

education in the State establish the Commission on

Excellence in Higher Education; authorizing the Commission
to examine and report to the Governor concerning the status
of funding and the quality of higher education in Maryland;
specifying certain questions for the Commission to address;
specifying membership in the Commission; specifying the
composition of an advisory board for the Commission;
requesting the Governor to supply staff for the Commission;
and providing for reports.
