(II)  THE BIRTH DATE OF THE APPLICANT;

(III)  THE SEX OF THE APPLICANT;

(IV)  A DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLICANT;

(V)  A COLOR PHOTOGRAPH OF THE APPLICANT TAKEN
BY THE PROCEDURE THAT THE ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES. PHOTOGRAPHS
ISSUED TO APPLICANTS UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE WILL BE TAKEN WITH THE
PROFILE VIEW. A FEE OF $3 IS REQUIRED FOR THE CONVERSION TO A
REGULAR FULL FACE PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD AFTER THE AGE OF 21;

(VI)  THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE IDENTIFICATION
CARD;

(VII)  THE SIGNATURE OF THE APPLICANT; AND

(VIII)  THE SIGNATURE AND SEAL OF THE ISSUING
AGENT.

[(f)] (E) [(1) A special] AN identification card may be
used as legal identification of the individual to whom it is
issued for any purpose.

[(2) A special identification card issued under this
section has the same validity as a driver's license issued under
this article when used for purposes of identification only.

(9)] (F) [A special] AN identification card expires every
[2] 4 years. It may be renewed on application and payment of the
fee required by [subsection (b) of] this section.

[(h) The Administration shall use the communications media
throughout this State to inform residents about special
identification cards and to encourage eligible individuals to use
them.]

(G) THE IDENTIFICATION CARD SHALL BE SURRENDERED BY THE
HOLDER UPON BEING ISSUED A MARYLAND DRIVER'S LICENSE.

(H) THE ADMINISTRATOR MAY ISSUE AN IDENTIFICATION CARD TO
AN APPLICANT WHOSE PRIVILEGE TO DRIVE HAS BEEN REFUSED,
CANCELLED, SUSPENDED, OR REVOKED.

[12-302.

(a) On application, the Administration shall issue an age
of majority identification card to any adult who:

(1)  Is a resident of this State; and

(2)  On application to the Administration, presents a
birth certificate or other proof of age and identity that is
satisfactory to the Administration.
