(I) UP TO 10 EVENTS PER YEAR - $125;
(II) UP TO 20 EVENTS PER YEAR - $250;
(III) UP TO 30 EVENTS PER YEAR - $375; AND
(IV) UP TO 40 EVENTS PER YEAR - $500.
(4) THE FEE SHALL BE PAID BEFORE A LICENSE IS ISSUED.
(5) THIS SPECIAL LICENSE MAY NOT BE GRANTED TO ANY
FIRE DEPARTMENT MORE THAN ONE TIME IN ANY YEAR.
(6) THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DAYS AUTHORIZED BY THIS
SPECIAL LICENSE MAY NOT EXCEED 40 IN ANY CALENDAR YEAR.
(7) THE NOTICE AND HEARING PROVISIONS, AS REQUIRED IN
PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION, SHALL ONLY APPLY THE FIRST TIME
ANY FIRE DEPARTMENT APPLIES FOR THIS LICENSE; THEREAFTER, THIS
LICENSE SHALL BE ISSUED UPON APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS.
(8) THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE A FIRE COMPANY
FROM OBTAINING A SINGLE EVENT SPECIAL CLASS C LICENSE UNDER OTHER
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning
St. Mary's County - Sanitary Districts - Benefit Charges -
Alternate Method of Assessment
FOR the purpose of providing for an alternate method of
assessment by the St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission
for providing certain properties with water or sewer;
providing for the assessment of this alternate method on
certain factors other than front foot benefit basis; naming
this alternate method of assessment as the equal benefit
assessment; providing for the use, calculation, assessment,
and levying of the equal benefit assessment; defining
certain terms; providing for the equal benefit assessment if
a property owner divides his property; making stylistic and
technical changes; and generally relating to the creation
