In subsection (b) of this section, the reference to
the property being transferred "to a new owner" is
added for clarity. Similarly, in subsection (b) of
this section, the reference to the "new owner" who may
appeal is substituted for the former reference to "the
person to whom such notice is directed", for clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the phrase
"January 1" is substituted for the former phrase "the
date of finality as provided in this section", for
clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the defined
term "real property" is substituted for the former
reference to "any property" for accuracy.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to the owner being able "to present such
proof as he may desire in the premises" is deleted as
superfluous.

8-405. SAME -- APPEAL HEARING DATES.

(A)  DATE AND TIME OF HEARINGS.

A PERSON WHO HAS RECEIVED A NOTICE UNDER § 8-401 OF THIS
SUBTITLE AND HAS APPEALED THE VALUE OR CLASSIFICATION UNDER §
8-404 OF THIS SUBTITLE SHALL BE NOTIFIED BY THE SUPERVISOR OF THE
DATE AND TIME OF THE HEARING.

(B)  ALTERNATE HEARING DATES.

IF A PERSON NOTIFIED UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION
REQUESTS, THE SUPERVISOR SHALL OFFER ALTERNATE DATES AND TIMES
FOR HEARINGS. TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, THESE DATES AND TIMES
SHALL:

AND

(1) REFLECT A MUTUALLY CONVENIENT HEARING SCHEDULE;

REQUIRED.

(2) PROVIDE FOR SOME SATURDAY AND EVENING HEARINGS AS

(C) COMBINED HEARINGS.

THE SUPERVISOR MAY PROVIDE GROUP HEARINGS FOR BLOCKS OR
COMMUNITIES IF THE REAL PROPERTY IS SIMILAR OR HAS SIMILAR
CHARACTERISTICS.
