(B) AS USED IN THIS SECTION, A "STAR KNIFE" IS A DEVICE
USED AS A THROWING WEAPON, CONSISTING OF SEVERAL SHARP OR POINTED
BLADES ARRAYED AS RADIALLY DISPOSED ARMS ABOUT A CENTRAL DISK.

[(b)] (C) As used in this section, a "nunchaku" is a device
consisting of two pieces wood, metal, plastic, or other like
substance connected by any chain, rope, leather or other flexible
material not exceeding 24 inches in length.

[(c)] (D) Nothing in this section shall be construed to
prevent the carrying of any of the weapons mentioned in
subsection (a) of this section by an officer of this State, or of
any county or city therein, who is entitled or required to carry
such weapon as part of his official equipment, or by any
conservator of the peace, who is entitled or required to carry
such weapon as part of his official equipment, or by any officer
or conservator of the peace of some other state temporarily
sojourning in this State, or by any special agent of a railway or
by any person to whom a permit to carry a concealed weapon has
been issued under § 36E of this article, or by any person who
shall carry such weapon as a reasonable precaution against
apprehended danger, but the tribunal before which any. case
arising under the provisions of this section may be tried, shall
have the right to judge of the reasonableness of the carrying of
any such weapon, and the proper occasion therefor, under the
evidence in the case.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning                                                                                               

Vehicle Laws Garrett County - Snowmobiles

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from operating a
snowmobile on certain highways in Garrett County; providing
that a person may operate a snowmobile on a certain highway
in Garrett County when crossing the highway in a certain
manner; prohibiting a person from operating a snowmobile on
certain highways; providing that a person may operate a
snowmobile on certain highways when crossing the highway in
a certain manner authorizing Garrett County to permit
persons to cross certain highways on a snowmobile in a
certain manner; and generally relating to the operation of
snowmobiles on certain highways.
