Article 56 - Licenses
534.
(b) An applicant for examination for a master electrical
license shall have been regularly and principally employed or
engaged in electrical construction, maintenance, installation,
and repair of all types of electrical equipment and apparatus for
not less than 7 years preceding the date of the application,
under the direction and supervision of a master electrician[, 3
years during which the applicant supervised or was actively in
charge of electrical installation work]. The Board may credit
not more than 3 years for formal course study or professional
training in electrical installation if, in the opinion of the
Board, the study or training provided comparable experience and
training otherwise attainable under the supervision of a master
electrician or while employed by a government agency.
535.
(a) Within 60 days of the issuance of a statewide license,
the applicant shall hold a license in the jurisdiction of this
State in which the applicant resides [or], the jurisdiction of
this State in which the applicant's principal business office is
located, OR THE JURISDICTION OF THIS STATE IN WHICH THE
APPLICANT'S RESIDENT AGENT IS LOCATED.

(A) This subtitle does not apply to:
(1) Employees of any person engaged in contracting
who are subordinates of the person who is licensed to engage in
contracting, if the employees do not hold themselves out for
hire, or engage in contracting except as an employee;
(2) (i) Any political subdivision which does not have
licensing provisions for this activity or has specific provisions
for licensing electricians other than master electricians, such
as master limited, maintenance, or restricted electricians.
(ii) In such cases the people licensed shall be
under the control and supervision of local boards[.];
(3) SUBJECT TO SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, PUBLIC
[Public] utility companies, regulated by the Public Service
Commission, when engaged in development, construction, [and
maintenance of company owned and maintained equipment on their]
MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR OF ELECTRIC FACILITIES, ON THEIR premises
or on other premises, roadways, and rights-of-way where they have
a lawful interest;
(4) The sale or installation of any finished
products, materials, or articles or merchandise which are not
actually fabricated into and do not become a permanent fixed part
of the structure or premises; or
