AN ACT concerning
Motor Vehicles - Motorcycle Safety Program
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Motor Vehicle Administration
to equip and manage a mobile training center under the
Motorcycle Safety Program; clarifying the duties and
responsibilities of the Motor Vehicle Administration and the
Department of Transportation in the administration of the
Motorcycle Safety Program; permitting an individual who is
eligible to be issued a certain learner's permit to enroll
in a motorcycle safety course; requiring the Motor Vehicle
Administration to adopt certain regulations; authorizing the
Motor Vehicle Administration to award certain contracts
under certain circumstances; and generally relating to the
Motorcycle Safety Program providing that the Motor Vehicle
Administration may offer motorcycle safety training courses
at certain training centers; authorizing the Administration
to offer courses and to operate a mobile training center;
clarifying the Administration's authority to manage and
regulate motorcycle safety training courses; clarifying
altering the funding for Motorcycle Safety Program costs;
changing certain definitions; making certain clarifying
changes; and generally relating to the Motorcycle Safety
Program.
