CHAPTER 531

(Senate Bill 345)

AN ACT concerning

Maryland State Police - Workweek and Overtime Compensation

FOR the purpose of changing the number of hours per day and days
per week which certain employees of the Maryland State
Police may work; changing the method of computing overtime
compensation for certain employees under certain conditions;
and generally relating to determination of the workweek and
computation of overtime compensation of employees of the
Maryland State Police.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 88B - State Police

23B.

(a) If authorized by the Superintendent, a law enforcement
employee [and], CADET, OR a 40-hour [work week] WORKWEEK civilian
employee of the Maryland State Police shall work a 10 hour [work
