take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Democratic Party Central Committee

FOR the purpose of altering the number of members on the
Democratic Party Central Committee of Calvert County;
requiring the Governor to appoint certain members of the
Committee; requiring certain members of the Committee to
meet certain qualifications; providing for the term of a
member of the Committee appointed by the Governor; and
providing for the effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

11-2.

(m) In Calvert County, the Democratic Party central
committee consists of [5] 7 members elected by the voters of the
county at large as follows:

(1)  1 member who resides in the first election
district and receives the largest number of votes cast for
candidates from that district;

(2)  1 member who resides in the second election
district and receives the largest number of votes cast for
candidates from that district;
