licensed and regularly practicing veterinarian; or (3) on which
hunting dogs, are housed, if the buying, selling, trading or
breeding is incidental to the main purposes of housing, keeping
and using dogs. In Baltimore City the provisions of this
section shall be enforced by the Baltimore City. Health
Department. In Baltimore County, the provisions of this section
shall be enforced by the Baltimore County bureau of animal
control OR BY AN ORGANIZATION APPROVED BY THE BALTIMORE COUNTY
GOVERNMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Controlled Dangerous Substances - Petition for Forfeiture -

Motor Vehicles

FOR the purpose of clarifying a provision relating to the sending
of copies of a petition for forfeiture of a motor vehicle,
seized in the seizure of controlled dangerous substances, to
certain parties noted in the records of the Motor Vehicle
Administration.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

Section 297(h)(1)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

297.

(h) (1) If the State's Attorney determines after the
recommendation of the chief law enforcement officer of the police
department, bureau, or force that seized the motor vehicle that
the motor vehicle should be forfeited to the State, the State's
Attorney, within 45 days after the seizure of the motor vehicle,
shall:
