9.  Ocean City, not exceeding 1.5%;

10.  Pocomoke City, not exceeding 1.5%;

11.  Kent County;

12.  Snow Hill, not exceeding 1.5%; AND

13.  Somerset County that is set on or
before January 15 for the following fiscal year; or

(ii) the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
City for Baltimore City, if the rate is set on or before June 30
for the following taxable year.

14-838.

Every complaint to foreclose the right of redemption filed
against an unknown owner as described in § [14-836] 14-837 of
this subtitle shall have attached to it an affidavit by the
person making the search that the owner of the property or a part
of the property is unknown, although a complete search of the
records for at least 40 years immediately before the institution
of the suit has been made.

14-867.

(a)  (1) An action under § 14-866 of this subtitle may be
commenced by a writ of attachment against any asset of the
defendant.

(2) Except as otherwise provided in this article, the
attachment shall be governed in all respects by the law and
Maryland Rules applicable to attachments for liquidated damages
against nonresidents.

(b)  The plaintiff in the action under subsection (a) of
this section is NOT required to file an attachment bond.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
11-117 of Article - Real Property of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be repealed.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 8-226
of Article - Tax - Property of the Annotated Code of Maryland (as

enacted by Chapter ____ (S.B. 1) of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1985) be renumbered to be Section(s) 8-207.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect February 1, 1986.
