SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

4-205.

(a) In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere in this
title, the Board may adopt rules and regulations governing:

(1)  The administration of general anesthesia by a
licensed dentist; [and]

(2)  THE ADMINISTRATION OF CONSCIOUS SEDATION AND DEEP
PARENTERAL SEDATION BY A LICENSED DENTIST; AND

[(2)] (3) The use of a dental assistant by a licensed
dentist in performing intraoral procedures.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

(House Bill 1362)

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - St. Mary's County
Correctional Facility

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of $2,750,000 $50,000, the proceeds to be used as
a grant to the Board of County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County for the purpose of the planning, design,
construction, and equipping of the St. Mary's County
Correctional Facility, subject to the requirement that the
Board of County Commissioners provide at least an equal and
matching fund of a certain kind for the same purpose by a
certain date; and providing generally for the issue and sale
of bonds evidencing the loan.
