(House Bill 741)

AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Alcoholic Beverages

Board of License Commissioners

PG 303-85

FOR the purpose of increasing the current membership of the
Prince George's County Board of License Commissioners;
providing for the appointment and the term of office of each
additional member; repealing obsolete provisions of the law
concerning the appointment of the original members;
restating certain provisions of the law referring to the
term of office of all members; clarifying language; and
generally relating to the composition and appointment of the
Prince George's County Board of License Commissioners.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 148(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

148.

(c) In Prince George's County [the] THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS CONSISTS OF 5 MEMBERS. THE Governor shall appoint
[two] 3 4 of the [three said] 5 commissioners from the political
party obtaining the highest number of votes in the last
GUBERNATORIAL general election in the county, and the [third
commissioner shall be appointed by the] Governor SHALL APPOINT 2
COMMISSIONERS 1 COMMISSIONER from the political party obtaining
the next highest number of votes in said county election. Before
making [said] THE appointments [and before] OR filling any
vacancy [as hereinabove provided], the Governor shall request the
central committees for Prince George's County representing each
of the [two] 2 leading political parties of the State to
designate at least [four] 4 eligible candidates for each
position; and the Governor shall appoint one of the persons so
