LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 328

SECTION 1.. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

13-936.

(a) [(1)] In this section, "historic motor vehicle" means a
motor vehicle, including a passenger vehicle, motorcycle, or
truck, that[:

(i) Is] IS 25 20 years old or older and ,
has not been substantially altered from the manufacturer's
original design, AND MEETS CRITERIA CONTAINED IN RULES AND
REGULATIONS ISSUED BY THE ADMINISTRATION[; or

(ii) Has a unique interest or historic value,
as determined by the Administrator.

(2) In determining whether a motor vehicle has unique
interest or historic value for purposes of this definition, the
Administrator shall give special consideration to:

(i) Makes of motor vehicles no longer
manufactured; and

(ii) Models of motor vehicles produced in
limited or token quantities and no longer manufactured].

(c) For each Class L (historic) vehicle, the annual
registration fee is [$1] $10.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That a vehicle that
is registered under Section 13-936 of the Transportation Article
on April 1, 1985 and continues to comply with the requirements in
Section 13-936(d)(2), may continue to be registered as an
historic motor vehicle notwithstanding the age of the vehicle.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.
