After June 1, 1959, no electric light or power company shall
attach its power lines or electric meters to any consumer's
property within the borders of Queen Anne's County unless the
building was wired before June 1, 1959, or the work has been
installed by a Master Electrician licensed under this [sub-title]
TITLE and until a temporary or permanent meter cut-in certificate
has been issued by an inspection agency OR A DEPARTMENT
designated by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County.
The agency OR DEPARTMENT shall issue a meter cut-in certificate
in duplicate. One of the certificates shall be sent to the power
or electric company furnishing the electricity for the consumer's
property, and the other shall be sent to the [Board of Electrical
Examiners] DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING OF QUEEN ANNE'S
COUNTY. The Board OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS may, however, issue a
special permit for such attachment to a contractor needing
electricity during construction, and such company may provide
such service upon presentation of such special permit.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the
members of the Board of Electrical Examiners appointed and
serving on July 1, 1985 expire as follows: (1) 1 member in 1986;
(2) 1 member in 1987; and (3) 1 member in 1988.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any current
Board member serving on July 1, 1985 shall continue to serve
until the term of that Board member expires and a successor is
appointed and qualifies. The successor Board member shall serve
only for the rest of the term provided under Section 2 of this
Act.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Redemption of Property - Tax Sales - Attorney's Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the maximum reimbursable attorney's
fees that a plaintiff or holder of a certificate of sale is
entitled to when property purchased at a tax sale is
redeemed; and providing for a delayed effective date for
this Act.
