SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene shall phase in the additional
placements provided for in this Act, consistent with the funding
provided in this Act, so that all of the specified placements are
made before June 30, 1986.

SECTION 2 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

State Fire Marshal - Reports

FOR the purpose of increasing the dollar amount of a loss by
fire, explosion, or an attempt to cause either event, that
must be reported by an insurer to the State Fire Marshal.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(k) It shall be the duty of each fire insurance company or
association doing business in this State, within ten days after
the adjustment of any loss in excess of [$500] $5,000 damage
sustained by it, to report to the State Fire Marshal, upon blanks
furnished by him, such information regarding the amount of
insurance, the value of the property insured, and the amount of
claim as adjusted, as in the judgment of the said State Fire
