1951

(a)  Except for the fees specifically set by this title, the
Board may set reasonable fees for the issuance and renewal of
[certificates] LICENSES and its other services.

(b)  The Board shall pay all funds collected under this
title into the General Fund of this State.

Subtitle 3. Certification

5.5-301.

(A)  EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, AFTER JULY
1, 1986, ALL ENVIRONMENTAL SANITARIANS SHALL BE LICENSED BY THE
BOARD.

(B)  An individual shall be [certified as] LICENSED AS a
registered environmental sanitarian by the Board before the
individual may.

(1)  Use the title "registered environmental
sanitarian";

(2)  Use the initials "R.S." after the name of the
person; or

(3)  Represent to the public that the individual is a
registered environmental sanitarian.

5.5-302.

[(a) To qualify for certification as a registered
environmental sanitarian, an applicant shall be an individual who
meets the requirements of this section.

(b) An applicant qualifies to take the examination if the
applicant:

(1) Graduates from an accredited college or
university with:

(i) A baccalaureate degree in environmental
science or environmental health and 12 months of experience,
acceptable to the Board, in the field of environmental health; or

(ii) A baccalaureate degree in the natural
sciences including:

1.  A minimum of 60 semester credit hours
or the equivalent quarter credit hours of basic sciences
acceptable to the Board;

2.  A course in mathematics and at least 1
laboratory course in 3 of the following fields: chemistry,
physics, microbiology, and biology; and
