(2) PERFORM ALL OTHER DUTIES AS DIRECTED BY THE
CIRCUIT AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGES OF PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY.

(C) PURSUANT TO THE MARYLAND RULES, THE CIRCUIT AND COUNTY
ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGES OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY SHALL:

(1) APPOINT THE DIRECTOR OF ASSIGNMENTS; AND

(2) SUPERVISE THE FUNCTIONS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF ASSIGNMENTS.

(D) PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY SHALL FUND ALL SALARIES AND
OTHER EXPENSES OF THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF ASSIGNMENTS OF
THE CIRCUIT COURT.

(R) (1) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT
COURT SHALL TRANSMIT TO THE COUNTY ALL APPEARANCE FEES COLLECTED
BY THE CLERK UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS
SECTION TO BE USED FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF THE COURT LIBRARY
AND ASSIGNMENT OFFICE AND FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF
THE COURT'S FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, AND PROGRAMS. THESE PURPOSES
INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE NECESSARY EXPENSES FOR
BOOKS, LEGAL PUBLICATIONS, LIBRARY EQUIPMENT, AND THE SERVICES OF
THE LIBRARY AND OTHER PERSONNEL.

(2) EXPENDITURES FOR THE LIBRARY ARE NOT TO BE
LIMITED TO THIS FUND IF THE SAME SHOULD BE DEEMED INSUFFICIENT BY
THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE.

(3) THE FEE SHALL BE COLLECTED BY THE CLERK AT THE
TIME AN ATTORNEY'S APPEARANCE IS ENTERED IN A CASE EITHER BY
PRAECIPE, FILING OF AN ACTION, ANSWER, PLEADING, OR AS OTHERWISE
ORDERED BY THE COURT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all the rights,
powers, duties, obligations, and functions of the Assignment
Office of the Clerk of the Court in Prince George's County are
hereby transferred to the Administrative Office of the Office of
the Director of Assignments of the Circuit Court in Prince
George's County on October 1, 1985.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, on October 1,
1985, the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Prince George's County
and other appropriate State agencies shall immediately begin to
take necessary actions to complete the orderly transfer of
responsibilities and functions to the Administrative Office of
the Office of the Director of Assignments of the Circuit Court in
Prince George's County pursuant to this Act. Such actions shall
include the transfer and creation of appropriate positions;
