CHAPTER 171

(Senate Bill 305)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Alcoholic Beverages - Restrictions

FOR the purpose of restricting the issuance of new alcoholic
beverages licenses in the 46th Legislative District of
Baltimore City; and permitting existing alcoholic beverages
licenses to be transferred or renewed.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 53C

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1984 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

53C.

(a) New licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages may
not be issued in:

(1)  The 11th through 21st precincts of the 25th ward
of Baltimore City. This area includes the following communities:

Brooklyn

Cherry Hill

Curtis Bay

Fairfield

Hawkin's Point

Wagner's Point

(2)  The 1st through 4th precincts and the 19th
through 25th precincts of the 13th ward of Baltimore City. This
area includes the communities of Hampden and Medfield.

(3)  The 10th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 27th, 34th,
35th, and 36th precincts of the 27th ward of Baltimore City.
This area includes the community of Hamilton.
