Control; providing for the length of term of office for the
student Governor's Youth Advisory Council member of the
Council; delineating certain requirements for eligibility of
a student member; providing for residency requirements for
members; and generally relating to membership on the State
Advisory Council on Alcoholism Control.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

8-304.

There is a State Advisory Council on Alcoholism Control in
the Administration.

8-305.

(a) (1) The State Advisory Council consists of [24] 25
members appointed by the Governor, in accordance with the federal
Comprehensive Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Prevention, Treatment,
and Rehabilitation Act of 1970 and any rules and regulations
adopted under it.

(2) The State Advisory Council shall include
representatives from a broad range of agencies and groups that
are concerned, directly or indirectly, with alcohol abuse and
alcoholism control, such as any of the following:

(i) Courts.

(ii) Police.

(iii) Probation offices.

(iv) Clergy.
