months. Provided that a Joint Executive
Legislative Task Force be created to study
the issue of additional construction and/or
renovation of correctional facilities. The
Task Force shall report to the 1986 General
Assembly with respect to a new prison and/or
renovation or replacement of the House of

(b) Maryland House of Correction (Anne Arundel
County):
Restore roofs on Wood, Paint, and Tag Shops..
(c) Maryland Penitentiary (Baltimore City):
(1) Design and prepare detailed plans and
specifications for renovation and additional
construction.................................
(2) Supplement the appropriation, "Alteration of
Print Shop to Library/Education Space",
originally made by Chapter 724 on page 2699
of the Acts of 1981, Section 1(5) of Chapter
724 of the Acts of 1981 being hereby modified
to the extent that work may begin upon
satisfactory assurances to the Board of
Public Works that the project can be
completed with the aggregate of the funds
herein and heretofore appropriated for this
purpose......................................
(d) Maryland Correctional Institution for Women
(Anne Arundel County):
Purchase capital equipment for 192-cell
maximum-security housing unit................
(e) Maryland Correctional Pre-Release System:
(1) Acquire site and prepare detailed plans and
specifications for pre-release unit for
women, provided that approval of this
appropriation does not constitute approval of
the location of this facility at a specific
site.........................................
(2) Construct multi-purpose building at
Brockbridge Correctional Facility (Anne
Arundel County)..............................
