(Senate Bill 657)

AN ACT concerning

Attendant Care Program

FOR the purpose of repealing the termination date of the
Attendant Care Program; increasing the membership of the
Attendant Care Advisory Committee; requiring an annual
report on the Program; and generally relating to attendant
care services for certain disabled individuals.

Section 21-502, 21-504, and 21-505

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 515 of the Acts of 1982

[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
remain in effect for fiscal years 1983, 1984, and 1985 and at the
end of June 30, 1985, and with no further action required by the
General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and be of no
further force and effect.]

Article - Education

21-502.

(a) (1) The Superintendent shall establish a [pilot]
program of financial assistance for attendant care services for
eligible disabled individuals.

(2) [On or before October 1, 1982, the] THE
Department shall adopt rules and regulations for the operation of
the program.
