REVISOR'S NOTE: Chapter ____, Acts of 1985, . which enacted
the State Finance and Procurement Article, also
enacted this section, which is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 81, §
29A(b) and the first sentence of § 2(20a), as those
provisions related to political subdivisions.
In subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the word
"special" is added to modify the term "taxing
district", to standardize the references to these
subdivisions. Similarly, the phrase "municipal
corporation" is substituted for the former phrase
"incorporated city or town".
In subsection (a) of this section, the former phrase
"beginning July 1, 1966" is deleted as obsolete.
The second sentence of former Art. 81, § 2(20a), which
cited former Art. 81, § 29A, is deleted as obsolete
in light of the revision of the provisions of former
Art. 81, §§ 2(20a) and 29A(b) together in this
section, for political subdivisions, and in SF §
2-101, for the State.

SUBTITLE 3. FEDERAL AID.
6-301. NOTICES.
(A) REGULATIONS.
AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND FISCAL
PLANNING, THE SECRETARY OF STATE PLANNING SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS
THAT REQUIRE A LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO SUBMIT INFORMATION, AS
REQUIRED IN THIS SECTION, ON FEDERAL AID, INCLUDING GRANTS,
INSTRUCTIONAL CONTRACTS, LOANS, RESEARCH CONTRACTS, OR OTHER
ASSISTANCE.
(B) INSTRUCTIONAL AND RESEARCH AID.
(1) EACH 6 MONTHS, A LOCAL GOVERNMENT SHALL SUBMIT A
SUMMARY NOTICE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING IF, DURING THE
6-MONTH PERIOD THAT THE NOTICE COVERS, THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT HAS
RECEIVED AN AWARD OF FEDERAL AID IN THE FORM OF AN INSTRUCTIONAL
CONTRACT, INSTRUCTIONAL GRANT, RESEARCH CONTRACT, OR RESEARCH
GRANT.
AWARD.
(2) THE SUMMARY NOTICE SHALL STATE THE AMOUNT OF THE
