AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Additional Bars or Serving Counters

FOR the purpose of including St. Mary's County in the law that
permits a licensee to install an additional bar or serving
counter without the issuance of an additional liquor
license; providing that a certain distance restriction for
the placement of these additional facilities be determined
by the local liquor licensing authority; and generally
relating to permitting additional bars or serving counters
for alcoholic beverages in St. Mary's County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

(b-9) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this article,
in Calvert [County] AND ST. MARY'S COUNTIES any licensee wishing
to install an additional bar or serving counter within a
reasonable distance of the main building may do so with the
approval of the [Calvert County board of license commissioners.
The Calvert County board of license commissioners] ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES LICENSING AUTHORITY IN THE RESPECTIVE COUNTY. EACH
LICENSING AUTHORITY shall determine what constitutes a reasonable
distance FOR THE RESPECTIVE COUNTY, and if the authorization is
granted, no additional license is required.
