and wagon or other vehicle, $200; and with a motor truck or motor
vehicle of any description whatever, $300. In Baltimore City, a
license to travel on foot is $150; to travel with a horse or
other beast of burden and wagon or other vehicle, $200; to travel
with two horses or other beast of burden and wagon or other
vehicle, $250; and with a motor truck or motor vehicle of any
description whatever, $400. Provided that the license to travel
with a motor truck or motor vehicle of any description shall be
$100 for residents of Garrett County, and $100 for residents of
Worcester County who vend ice cream therefrom in Worcester
County. The clerk shall supply the licensee in the case of a
horse and wagon or motor truck or motor vehicle, in addition to
the license mentioned in this section, with a metal tag or stamp
to be attached to the vehicle and to be clearly visible. A foot
peddler shall have in his possession at all times the license
issued by the clerk and display the license upon demand of any
uniformed officer of the law. This section does not apply to Anne
Arundel, Prince George's, Baltimore, Cecil, Howard, or Montgomery
[counties] COUNTY.

29A.

Notwithstanding the provisions of §§ 25 through [29] 28 of
this article in Baltimore County it is not the duty of the
Sheriff or his deputies to enforce the provisions of these
sections.

31.

Any person who shall sell or offer for sale from a wagon at
retail within the corporate limits of any municipality which may
impose, set, rate or levy any license, tax, charge or fee upon
the business of selling from a wagon at retail, any fresh fruits,
vegetables or other country produce of which he is not a bona
fide grower, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof, be fined not more than twenty-five dollars
($25.00). This section and § 30 of this article not to apply to
Allegany or Washington [counties] COUNTY.

56.

If an applicant for a trader's license to sell, barter, or
otherwise dispose of any and all kinds of goods, wares or
merchandise other than any alcoholic beverage shall produce a
signed certificate from a registered physician who specializes in
the treatment of the eye, to the effect that said applicant has a
defect in his vision which leaves the applicant with a visual
acuity not to exceed 20/140 in the better eye with correcting
lenses; or visual acuity greater than 20/140 but with a
limitation in the fields of vision such that the widest diameter
of the visual field subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees;
and if said applicant shall also make affidavit, duly
acknowledged, that he is the bona fide proprietor of the
establishment or place of business described in the application,
then said clerk shall demand and receive the sum of six dollars
