respective districts may designate their decision for or against
the provisions of this Act for their respective district. If a
majority of the votes cast in a district in the election are for
authorizing the Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners
to issue, renew, and transfer any class or classes of licenses
for the sale of alcoholic beverages within the respective
district, the provisions of this Act shall become effective in
that district on December 15, 1984, but if in any of the
districts a majority of the votes cast in the election are
against authorizing the Montgomery County Board of License
Commissioners to issue, renew, and transfer any class or classes
of licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages within the
respective district, the provisions of this Act shall be of no
effect and null and void in that district.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if a majority of
the votes in each of the districts in the election are for
authorizing the Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners
to issue, renew, and transfer any class or classes of licenses
for the sale of alcoholic beverages, the provisions of Article
2B, Section 37(a)(2) remain as provided for in this Act.
However, if in any of the districts or in all of the districts
the majority of the votes cast are against this proposal, the
Michie Publishing Company shall adjust Section 37(a)(2) to delete
only those districts that vote in favor of this Act.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That subject to the
provisions of Section 2 herein and for the sole purpose of
providing for the referendum therein required, this Act shall
take effect on July 1, 1984.

FOR the purpose of altering the nomination and election process
for a student member and alternate student member to the
Montgomery County Board of Education; providing that the
student member may indicate a preference for or against any
question before the Board; providing for the removal of the
student member of the Board under certain circumstances; and
generally relating to the student member of the Montgomery
County Board of Education.
