Section ll-106(a)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the

Acts of the General Assembly of 1984)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Family Law

11-106.

(a) (1) The court shall determine the amount of and the
period for an award of alimony.

(2) THE COURT MAY AWARD ALIMONY FOR A PERIOD
BEGINNING FROM THE FILING OF THE PLEADING THAT REQUESTS ALIMONY.

[(2)] (3) At the conclusion of the period of the
award of alimony, no further alimony shall accrue.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect October 1, 1984.

CHAPTER 214

(House Bill 695)

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Purchasing Property

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of
Garrett County to purchase or lease personal property for
the operation of the County pursuant to certain conditions;
requiring certain payment provisions be made for contracts
entered into under this Act; requiring contracts entered
into under this Act to have a certain termination provision;
and generally relating to Garrett County's authorization to
purchase or lease personal property for the County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 25 - County Commissioners
