(7) Manufacturers, wholesalers, carriers, and
warehousemen.]

[4-1106.

(a)  Except for a carrier or a practitioner, any person in
any class listed in § 4-1105(b) of this subtitle shall keep
complete records of:

(1)  All stocks of barbiturates on hand; and

(2)  All receipts or deliveries of barbiturates by
that person or that person's agents or employees.

(b)  Each practitioner shall keep complete records of:

(1)  All stocks of barbiturates on hand;

(2)  All receipts of barbiturates by the practitioner
or the practitioner's agents or employees; and

(3)  Each barbiturate dispensed and administered by
the practitioner by:

(i) Name and quantity of the barbiturate;

(ii) Date on which the barbiturate was
dispensed or administered; and

(iii) Name and address of the patient and, if
the barbiturate was prescribed for or administered to an animal,
species of the animal.

(c)  Each pharmacist shall:

(1)  Keep complete records showing:

(i) All stocks of barbiturates on hand; and

(ii) All receipts of barbiturates by the
pharmacist or the pharmacist's agents or employees;

(2)  File each prescription received by the pharmacist
with an appropriate number;

(3)  Keep a record of each authorized refilling of a
prescription; and

(4)  If the sale is exempted under subsection
4-1105(b) of this subtitle, keep a record of the:

(i) Name and quantity of the barbiturate sold;

(ii) Date on which the barbiturate was sold;
and
