SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

240AA.

(d) An insured shall have the right to protest the proposed
action of the insurer by signing two copies of the notice and
sending them to the Commissioner within [fifteen] 30 days after
receipt of the notice. The Commissioner shall, upon receipt of a
protest, notify the insurer of the filing of the protest.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
