(a) Unless otherwise provided in the public local laws of a
county, the county commissioners of the several counties shall
receive three dollars per day for each day they shall be engaged
in the discharge of their duties, and mileage at the rate of ten
cents for every mile over five miles from their places of
residence.
(b) The following vary the above:
The County Commissioners of Baltimore County shall receive a
salary of one thousand dollars per year each, including mileage,
payable monthly by the treasurer of that county; and the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County shall meet at their office in
the courthouse in Towson on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week,
and to meet daily for the transaction of the public business from
the first Tuesday in March until after the annual levy is made.
(e) [The] ANY compensation OR REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL
EXPENSES for the County Commissioners of Carroll County[,] SHALL
BE as set forth in Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland [(1930 Edition, as amended), shall be in addition to the
above authorized expense moneys].
Article 7 - Carroll County
3-1.
There shall be three (3) County Commissioners for Carroll
County who shall each receive a salary of $18,500.00 a year.
Also, each Commissioner shall receive an allowance for expenses
incident to the official discharge of his duties as provided in
[Section 28 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland as
amended] THE ANNUAL COUNTY BUDGET. The three Commissioners shall
hold at least two regularly scheduled meetings each week and
shall schedule such additional meetings as they deem necessary to
properly conduct the business of Carroll County.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
