SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
76.
(g) The following expenses relating to the sale shall be
allowed, all of which shall be liens on the property to be sold:
(VIII) IN BALTIMORE CITY, A FEE NOT TO EXCEED $150 A
REASONABLE FEE NOT TO EXCEED $150 FOR EXAMINATIONS OF TITLE
PRIOR TO THE MAILING OF STATEMENTS AND NOTICES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT concerning
Income Tax - Amnesty for Unpaid Taxes
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Comptroller of the Treasury to
establish a period during which all interest and penalties
imposed for nonpayment of certain income taxes shall be
waived under certain circumstances; defining certain terms;
and generally relating to the establishment of a tax amnesty
program by the Comptroller.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Comptroller of the Treasury may authorize for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1984 a 30 day-period during
which all interest and penalties imposed by Article 81, § 318 §§
318 and 320 of the Code will be waived if any taxpayer
voluntarily files delinquent returns and pays taxes owed. The
