Article 95 - Treasurer

Section 22J

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1979 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 95 - Treasurer

22J.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISIONS OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY OR ANY
LIMITATION OR RESTRICTION CONTAINED IN ANY OTHER LAW, THE
CONTROLLER OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY AND THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF
HOWARD COUNTY MAY INVEST, REDEEM, SELL, EXCHANGE, AND REINVEST
UNEXPENDED OR SURPLUS MONEYS IN ANY FUND OR ACCOUNT OF WHICH HE
HAS CUSTODY OR CONTROL IN THE FOLLOWING:

(1) BANKER'S ACCEPTANCES; OR

(2) A REPURCHASE AGREEMENT THAT IS SECURED BY ANY
BOND OR OTHER OBLIGATION OF THE TYPE WHICH THE TREASURER OF THIS
STATE MAY REINVEST UNDER § 22F(A)(1) OF THIS ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, it shall take effect from the date of its passage.

Tax Sale - Expenses in Baltimore City

FOR the purpose of altering the expenses allowed in connection
with tax sales in Baltimore City; and making this Act an
emergency measure.
