or in Baltimore City showing the values of the merchandise,
fixtures, and stock in trade for the business for which the
license is applied, for the calendar year next preceding that for
which the license is applied. The receipt or certificate also
shall contain the certification of the county treasurer, or, in
Baltimore City and in Montgomery County, the director of finance,
and the certification of any municipal corporation in which the
business is located that there are no unpaid taxes on the
merchandise, fixtures, and stock due to the municipal
corporation, to the county, or to the State.

(2) IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, THE TIME PERIOD FOR UNPAID
TAXES PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION IS THE FISCAL
YEAR THAT INCLUDES MAY 1 OF THE CALENDAR YEAR DURING WHICH THE
LICENSE ACTUALLY IS ISSUED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
