(b)  Licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages of any
class may not be transferred into the areas of Baltimore City
covered by this section.

(c)  The prohibitions in this section do not apply to
special 1-day licenses or to Class B beer, wine and liquor
restaurant licenses to bona fide restaurants having:

(1)  A minimum capital investment of $150,000 for
restaurant facilities, not including the cost of land and
building; and

(2)  A minimum seating capacity of 75 persons.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

(Senate Bill 261)

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Traders' Issuance of Licenses

FOR the purpose of requiring Washington County officials to
consider only the fiscal year during which a trader's
license is issued in determining whether there are any
unpaid taxes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 56 - Licenses
Section 2A(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland
(1983 Replacement Volume)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

2A.

(a) (1) A license provided for in this article shall not be
issued by a clerk of court unless there is presented to him at
the time of application, a receipt or certificate that contains
the certification of the supervisor of assessments in the county
