Every licensee, in addition to such other duties as may be
specifically imposed by this article, while driving a taxicab
shall:

(6) Not operate a taxicab while the driver's
taxicab[,] OR operator [or chauffeur] license is suspended.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

Public Service Commission - Temporary
Taxicab Driver's License

FOR the purpose of extending the period of time during which a
temporary taxicab driver's license can remain in effect.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 50-I

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 78 - Public Service Commission Law

50-I.

The Commission may issue a temporary license and badge to an
applicant for a period not exceeding [fifteen (15)] THIRTY (30)
days.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
