[(d)] (F) A suspension, revocation, or surrender of any
license does not impair or affect the obligation of any claim
lawfully acquired by the licensee prior thereto.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Barber Examiners -

Eligibility Requirements for Master Barbers

Who Train Journeyman Barbers

FOR the purpose of permitting master barbers to train journeyman
barbers in barber shops.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 56 - Licenses

Section 441(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1979 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

441.

(c) A barbershop in this State may not employ at the same
time more than two journeyman barbers for each qualified barber
employed. [Any barber who desires to train journeymen must first
qualify as provided for teachers in barber schools under § 435 of
this subtitle.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
