RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WILLIAMSPORT,
MARYLAND TO AMEND THE CORPORATE CHARTER TO RAISE THE BID LIMIT

RESOLUTION of the Council of the Town of Williamsport,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to Article XI-E, Section 4, of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, entitled "MUNICIPAL
CORPORATIONS, PROCEDURE FOR ADOPTION, AMENDMENT OR REPEAL OF
CHARTERS"; and pursuant to Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of
the Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled "Corporation,
Municipal, Charter Amendments", as said sections were enacted by
Chapter 423 of the Laws of Maryland, 1955, and were enacted by
Chapter 423 of the Laws of Maryland, 1955, and subsequent
amendments thereto; to amend the now existing Section 61 of the
Corporate Charter of the Town of Williamsport as adopted July 8,
1957, and subsequently" amended entitled, PURCHASING AND
CONTRACTS, and to amend said Corporate Charter by raising the
limit under which all expenditures shall be made on written
contract.

[Section 39-62 of the Charter of the Town of Williamsport,
Washington County, as found in the compilation of Municipal
Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
