Mayor and Councilmembers must reside in the City preceding their
election; and so as to delete the salary of the Mayor and the
Councilmembers from the Charter and to provide that said salary
shall be set by ordinance, and so as to also correct a
grammatical error.

of Rockville, Montgomery County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

Charter Amendment No. 43

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted
pursuant to Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland, Section
13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and the
Charter of the City of Rockville, as amended, to amend subsection
a. of Section 5. of Article VIII of the Charter of the City of
Rockville, the same being contained in Section 72-44(a) of the
Montgomery County Code, 1972 (1977 Replacement Volume), so as to
amend the personnel provisions of the Charter by limiting the
prohibitions against various political activities to only such
political activity relating to City elections, City public
office, and City political issues.

reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION to enlarge the corporate boundaries of the City
of Rockville to include 0.45 acres of land, more or less, Mayor
and Council of Rockville.
