Charter Amendment No. 41
RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted
pursuant to Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland, Section
13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and the
Charter of the City of Rockville, as amended, to amend Sections 4
and 5 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Rockville, the
same being contained in Sections 72-9 and 72-12 of the Montgomery
County Code, 1972 (1977 Replacement Volume), so as to amend the
election provisions of the Charter by changing the date on which
elections for the Mayor and Council members of the City of
Rockville are to be held; by including among the reasons for
which a vacancy can occur on the Council, the filing to become a
candidate for certain public office; and by providing that
vacancies on the Council with remaining terms of one year or
greater shall be filled by special City election, with other
vacancies to be filled by vote of the Mayor and Council.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the Constitution of
Maryland, Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, and the Charter of the City of Rockville, as amended,
to amend subsections b. and c. of Section 1 of Article II of the
Charter of the City of Rockville, the same being contained in
Section 72-3 of the Montgomery County Code, 1972 (1977
Replacement Volume), so as to change the period of time that the
