RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE TOWN OF
FOREST HEIGHTS TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF FOREST HEIGHTS
TO PROVIDE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE BOARD
OF REGISTRATIONS AND ELECTIONS

County, 1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, repealed and reenacted,
with amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1 (1983)

RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE TOWN OF
FOREST HEIGHTS TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF FOREST HEIGHTS
TO PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR DUE DATE AND INTEREST RATE FOR
OVERDUE TAXES.

'WHEREAS, Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland provides that the legislative body of a municipal
corporation may initiate a proposed amendment to the municipal
charter by a resolution which is ordained or passed as in the
usual course of considering resolutions in the government of the
municipal corporation by a majority of all of the persons elected
to the legislative body;

WHEREAS, the Charter of the Town requires amendment to
establish specifications as to date taxes are due and when they
are overdue and the rate of interest to be charged therefor.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and Town Council
for the Town of Forest Heights that the Charter for the Town of
Forest Heights (1963 Edition) be and it is hereby amended as
follows:
