OF THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF CHESAPEAKE BEACH,
CALVERT COUNTY, MARYLAND
WHEREAS, the Town of Chesapeake Beach is a municipal
corporation of the State of Maryland, organized and operating
under a charter adopted in 1930, in accordance with Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume, as
amended) ("Article 23A");
AND WHEREAS, the Town Council, being the legislative body
for the Town of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, and empowered
pursuant to Article 23A, §§ 12 and 13 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, to initiate by resolution proposed amendments to the
municipal charter for the Town of Chesapeake Beach, contained in
the Code of the Public Local Laws of Calvert County (Article 5 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland);
AND WHEREAS, the Town Council is desirous of amending §
18-723 of the Charter of the Town of Chesapeake Beach to decrease
the monetary amount for expenditures requiring written contracts,
and to modify the monetary minimum for the imposition of
competitive bidding requirements as regards such purchases and
contracts;
[Section 18-723 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Calvert
County, as found in the compilation of Municipal Charters of
Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and added.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Chesapeake City, pursuant to Maryland Annotated Code Article 23A,
Section 19, to annex a one-acre parcel of land which adjoins the
existing corporate area.

Chesapeake City, Cecil County.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Chesapeake City adopted pursuant to Article 23A, Section 13,
Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled Corporations-Municipal, to
change three sections of the Code of Cecil County, Maryland,
which incorporates the Charter of the Town of Chesapeake City;
