The existence of the Commission shall continue until
terminated by Executive Order.

EXECUTIVE ORDER OF MARCH 27, 1984

GOVERNOR'S COMMISSION ON MIGRATORY AND
SEASONAL FARM LABOR - AMENDMENT

WHEREAS, Some of the functions performed by the Department of
Human Resources were assumed by the Department of Employment
and Training created by Chapter 64 of the 1983 Laws of
Maryland; and

WHEREAS, It is desirable to increase the representation among
the members of the Commission on Migratory and Seasonal Farm
Labor to include the Secretary of Employment and Training
and members from the public or general community who are not
associated with governmental, labor, grower or migrant
worker organizations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND, HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT
THAT SECTION 1. OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 01.01.1981.01 BE AMENDED,
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

1. (a) There is a Governor's Commission on Migratory
and Seasonal Farm Labor in the Department of
Human Resources.

(b) (1) The Commission consists of the following
members or their designees:

(i) The Secretary of Agriculture;

(II) THE SECRETARY OF EMPLOYMENT AND
TRAINING;

[(ii)] (III) The Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene;

[(iii)] (IV) The Secretary of Human
Resources;

[(iv)] (V) The Secretary of Licensing
