DEFINED IN § 5.5-101(D), (E), AND (G), REGISTRATION UNDER THIS
TITLE MAY NOT BE IS NOT REQUIRED. SUCH OCCUPATIONAL ACTIVITIES
MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THOSE PERFORMED BY INDUSTRIAL
HYGIENISTS, HEALTH PLANNERS, GEOLOGISTS, METEOROLOGISTS, NATURAL
RESOURCES PLANNERS, BUILDING AND HOUSING INSPECTORS,
PARAPROFESSIONAL AIDS, TECHNICIANS, AND REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEERS REGISTERED IN THIS STATE WHOSE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
ARE NORMALLY INCLUDED UNDER SUBSECTIONS 5.5-101(E) AND (G).

There is a State Board of [Sanitarian] ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PRACTITIONER Registration in the Department.
[17-202.] 5.5-202.
(a) (1) The Board consists of [six] -6- 8 members
appointed by the Governor with the advice of the Secretary, and
with the advice and consent of the Senate.
(2) Of the [six] 6 8 Board members:
i (i) [Five] 5 7, AT LEAST 1 OF WHOM IS NOT
AN EMPLOYEE OF THE STATE, THE UNITED STATES, OR A LOCAL
GOVERNMENT shall be registered [sanitarians] ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PRACTITIONERS SANITARIANS; and . OF THE REMAINING MEMBERS:
1. 2 SHALL REPRESENT THE DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE;
2. 1 SHALL REPRESENT LOCAL HEALTH
SERVICES AND BE EMPLOYED UNDER THE STATE PERSONNEL SYSTEM;
3. 1 SHALL REPRESENT A LOCAL HEALTH
DEPARTMENT IN BALTIMORE CITY, BALTIMORE COUNTY, OR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY; AND
4. 2 SHALL BE APPOINTED AT LARGE. THEIR
SELECTION SHALL BALANCE THE BOARD AS TO GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION
THROUGHOUT THE STATE AND MAY NOT INCLUDE A SECOND SELECTION FROM
ANY JURISDICTION ALREADY REPRESENTED; AND
